The Building
Est. 1872 · NYC Historic Landmark
Built in 1872 as the first brewhouse of Vigelius & Ulmer, the building grew into the William Ulmer Brewery as the business expanded through the late 19th century. Its round arches, patterned brickwork and industrial character remain at the heart of the restoration, now joined by a copper-clad addition at the roof, inspired by the brewery’s original brewing vats.
The Block
Bushwick, Brooklyn
Bushwick has grown into one of Brooklyn’s great brewing districts. The industry changed but the energy hasn’t. Galleries, murals, cafés, bars and late-night spots sit alongside the neighborhood’s industrial fabric, with multiple subway lines connecting it easily to the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Ulmer Lofts sits inside that history & aims to further define it.
